Katie Bayley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing for over four years in a trauma-focused setting. She graduated with both her bachelor’s degree and Master of Social Work degree from Samford University. She has worked with individuals experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, family conflict, traumatic grief, ADHD, child abuse, self-esteem, and anger management. She has experience collaborating with caregivers, law enforcement, the Department of Human Resources, the district attorney’s office, and healthcare professionals as a team to provide the best care centered around the client’s needs.
Katie believes that a holistic approach is essential in understanding a person’s struggles and helping them find the power within themselves. She hopes to provide a safe space for people to explore their strengths and empower them to heal from within. Katie views each person as an individual with unique struggles and strengths. She works to find the treatment that best fits the person and their needs, rather than having the person fit into a specific treatment.
Katie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). She also incorporates other theories into her practice, including person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, family systems theory, and play therapy. Katie believes in working with people as a team as they progress in their journey toward growth and healing. She intentionally meets individuals where they are and helps them discover their own tools and techniques for resilience.
