Dr. Coleman
    Dr. Coleman is currently accepting new clients and treats an array of mental health issues. He will see clients fifteen years of age and up. Dr. Coleman is dedicated to prescribing the least amount of medication necessary to help a person function at their full capacity. Dr. Coleman will only see a client if they are receiving current counseling services in conjunction with their medication management. He believes in the integrative approach and does a thorough intake to evaluate other environmental factors as well as health issues that might be contributing to their presenting problem.
    Dr. DeMel Coleman graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 2001 and subsequently was accepted into their psychiatry residency program. While there he was selected as a Bryce scholar as a 1st-year resident. He was also selected to be chief resident as both a 3rd year and 4th-year resident.
    In addition, he received the Laughlin Fellowship in 2005 by the American College of Psychiatry to the top 15 perspective psychiatry residents in North America. Dr. Coleman is committed to helping his clients function at their highest levels with minimal medication. Dr. Coleman’s empathetic nature and high competency help him provide the best care possible.
