Mark Banaszek is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been practicing counseling services for the past fourteen years. He is a graduate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (2005 and 2008). His experience includes working with children and their families to prevent out of home placement doing an intensive in-home intervention. He has experience working with school systems, juvenile court and other agencies throughout Jefferson and surrounding counties. He has experience working with at-risk children and adolescents, individuals, couples, family preservation work, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). He has worked with individuals in the LGBTIQ community and welcomes anyone that needs assistance overcoming life’s challenges. Mark uses a variety of treatment models and believes in creating the therapy session to fit the needs of the individual by using a professional, direct, realistic, yet compassionate and understanding approach. Mark is here to help you through this process by creating a safe, supportive relationship so you become comfortable in therapy and feel strong enough to heal.
