Mark Banaszek is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over twenty years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s most challenging seasons. A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (2005, 2008), Mark has worked across a variety of settings including school systems, juvenile courts, and community agencies throughout Jefferson and surrounding counties.
Mark has the unique ability to specialize in two key areas: supporting children and their families through emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges—and working with adult men, particularly those aged 25 to 40, who are silently struggling under the weight of stress, burnout, relationship issues, or identity confusion.
For the men he works with, the story is familiar: You’re showing up for everyone else, but when was the last time you felt like yourself? Maybe you’ve got a job, a partner, a family—or maybe just a ton of pressure and no road map. Mark helps men who feel stuck in the noise simplify the chaos, clarify what they actually want, and reconnect with who they really are. His approach is direct, honest, and deeply compassionate.
Mark also has extensive experience working with at-risk youth, couples and families. He uses a range of evidence-based treatment models tailored to each client’s needs, always prioritizing a supportive, judgment-free space where growth feels possible.
Whether you’re a parent looking for help for your child, or a man ready to stop pretending everything’s fine—Mark is here to help guide you toward real change.
