Michelle Knight – Pelham Office (In-Person and Telehealth)Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Michelle Knight is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing counseling for the past ten years and social work for the last thirteen years. She believes that in order to obtain optimum health one must treat the mind, body, and spirit as a whole. She founded Integrative Health Services, LLC in 2014 with the goal of providing integrative/holistic counseling practices to the community of Birmingham. She is a graduate of the University of Montevallo (2007) and The University of Alabama (2010). She has previously worked in both the residential and outpatient settings as a clinical director for two start-up substance abuse treatment programs.

As a therapist, her experience also includes working in the psychiatric hospital setting, inpatient and outpatient treatment for drug and alcohol abuse, working with at-risk adolescents, family preservation work, therapeutic foster care, and residential treatment for women with mental health issues and eating disordered behaviors. Michelle also enjoys working with individuals in the LGBTIQ community and wants everyone to feel comfortable coming as they are.

Michelle uses many treatment models and believes there is not a “one size fits all” approach. Treatment is individual and is tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. Michelle is an outside the box thinker, someone who has a personal investment in your success and can be the confidential sounding board that is difficult to find otherwise.
