Brooke Premo is an Associate Licensed Counselor who has served in the past as a Children’s Pastor, preschool music teacher, and middle school English teacher. Her passion for supporting students and their families inspired her to pursue a career in counseling. Brooke earned a BS in Secondary Education and English Language Arts from the University of Alabama and her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has served as a therapist at a college campus, a grief support center, and in private practice. Brooke has worked with children, teens, adults, couples, and grief groups on such issues as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral and relational issues, OCD, parenting issues, ADHD and academic goals, and emotion regulation/distress tolerance.
Brooke’s therapeutic approach is individualized for each client, tailored to meet their unique needs, goals, and preferences. She often employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, is trained in play therapy modalities and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her counseling process is marked by warmth, hope, humor, and creativity, and her goal is that every client feels nurtured and empowered as they work toward achieving their personal goals.
