Shea Miller is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Integrative Health Services, LLC with 14+ years of experience working with individuals, adolescents, children, couples, and families. She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Community Counseling (1999 and 2008). She has worked with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family conflicts, parenting issues, career challenges, ADHD, self-esteem, and trauma. She is a Registered Play Therapist who uses play therapy techniques to help children cope with stressful circumstances and life issues. She has a background working in the school systems as well as with children and teens in foster care to help them cope with stressful circumstances and behavioral issues.
Treatment specialties include, but not limited to, anxiety, stress, play therapy, self-esteem issues, adolescent & teen issues, relationship issues, career challenges, depression, blended families, couples, parenting techniques, and behavioral modification. Shea’s therapy style is interactive, positive, and client-centered.
She uses an integrative approach to provide the client specifically what they need to cope with life’s many challenges. She believes in treating every client with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. She will strive to make every client feel heard and understood while supporting and empowering each client in their journey towards positive change.
