Leslieann is an Associate Licensed Counselor, ALC04323 (under the supervision of Jay Pesek, M.Ed., LPC-S, NCC) has been practicing counseling for two years and has worked in the mental health field for 6 years. She received her Master of Arts in Community Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in April 2017. She is currently furthering her education by completing a post-master’s concentration in Counseling Military Populations. She received her Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Psychology in 2009 at Austin Peay State University.
Leslie has worked as a substance abuse counselor at an inpatient 12-step-based rehabilitation program. She has experience working at an inpatient hospital for behavioral issues and mental illness. Leslie also worked as an advocate at a domestic violence shelter.
Since obtaining her master’s in counseling she has worked at a medically assisted treatment program for opiate use disorder.
Leslie has experience working with crisis situations, substance use disorders, life event stressors, and parenting struggles.
Leslie utilizes several treatment models including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing.
Leslie values meeting her clients where they are and working together with them client to empower them to reach their treatment goals.
